ABSTRACT
Purpose: Negative childbirth experience has been associated with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression in the postpartum period a significant impact on mother as well infant. Methods: The current study aimed at studying association of negative child birth PTSD depressive symptoms among primiparous mothers within 6 weeks birth. Childbirth Experience Questionnaire (CEQ), checklist (PCL), Edinburgh Postnatal Depression scale (EPDS) were used to assess experience, PTSD, respectively. Results: Of 95 women study, fifty (52.6%) had score below median CEQ (score 72) indicating experience.
