Challenges Faced by Emergency Physicians in China: An Observation From the Perspective of Burnout

ABSTRACT
Background: Burnout is considered a global problem, particularly in the emergency health sector; however, no large-sample cross-sectional study has assessed prevalence of burnout among physicians and its associated factors. Methods: A nationally representative survey 15,243 was conducted 31 provinces across China between July September 2019. Multiple linear regression analysis performed to identify correlates burnout. Results: The participants' mean scores were 25.8 (SD = 15.9) on emotional exhaustion (EE) subscale, 8.1 7.9) depersonalization (DP) 26.80 12.5) personal accomplishment (PA) indicating pattern moderate EE, DP, high PA. results found that 14.9% had level China, with 46.8% scoring for 24.1% 60.5% having risk low Having poor self-perceived status sleep quality, working developed regions governmental hospitals, an intermediate professional title, experiencing depression, performing shift work workplace violence made more likely experience occupational Conclusion: Positive measures should be taken reduce improve their enthusiasm maintain quality medical services.
