ABSTRACT
Given the increasing prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and public health problems it creates; early identification interventions are needed to improve prognosis ASD. Hence, this study surveyed different groups people who likely have contact with autistic children provide an informed basis for detection effective diagnosis interventions.Three were recruited from Changshou District Wushan County Chongqing, in Western China: 269 medical workers, 181 educators, 188 community residents. Their understanding knowledge was measured using a self-made questionnaire.The positive finding that three had certain level autism, but they some misunderstandings core problems, there significant differences among groups. Younger workers knew more about than older ones did. The ability educators residents identify symptoms positively related their education experience children.
