ABSTRACT
Objective To test the psychometric properties of Chinese version biological rhythms interview assessment in neuropsychiatry (C-BRIAN) a group young adults with and without depressive symptoms. Methods Three hundred seventy-eight university students were recruited as participants. Based on scores from Center for Epidemiological Survey Depression Scale (CES-D), divided into depressed healthy group. Explorative factor analysis was applied to assess construct validity C-BRIAN. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) CES-D compared C-BRIAN convergent validity. internal consistency also examined. Results factors extracted (activities, eating patterns, sleep factors) explaining 63.9% total variance. consistencies very good coefficient 0.94 (overall) 0.89–0.91 three factors. domains activities, moderately correlated PSQI ( r =0.579) =0.559) (ps<0.01). Conclusion Our findings suggest that has reliability which can be used rhythm adult population would reliable tool detect symptoms timely prevention intervention community.
