ABSTRACT
The growing HIV epidemic among student men who have sex with (MSM) necessitates immediate attention from public health. In China, male students (SMSM) were also at an increasing risk of transmission. aim this study was to investigate the trends in prevalence, HIV-related behaviors, and testing, as well analyze factors associated infection SMSM Nanjing.Data collected through face-to-face questionnaire interviews laboratory testing Nanjing. participants recruited by snowball sampling internet-recruited convenience annually 2016 2020. self-report data primarily included demographics, knowledge, while test results syphilis collected. Linear-by-linear chi-square used HIV/syphilis prevalence its behaviors. binary logistic regression model explore infection.During 5 years 2020, a total 775 our survey (220, 112, 171, 142, 120, respectively). 5.2, 6.3, 5.3, 7.0, 8.3%, without significant trend (P = 0.277). Syphilis fluctuated 5.7% 4.2% decreasing 0.318). proportion consistent condom use anal intercourse (48.5 56.2%, P < 0.05), past 12 months (51.0 59.2%, 0.05) increasing. A remarkable has been reported percentage MSM more than one partner (46.2 0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that protective factor against infection. had unprotected (UAI) 6 months, recreational drug use, currently for infection.We observed stable HIV/ rate, multiple partners dramatically China. original comprehensive intervention measures should be continuously strengthened subgroup. To satisfy current prevention requirements, new biological interventions introduced carried out major components combination programs.
