ABSTRACT
Background Non-communicable diseases are a global health problem. The metric Disability-Adjusted Life Years was developed to measure its impact on systems. This makes it possible understand disease’s burden, towards defining healthcare policies. research analysed the effect of expenditures in evolution disability-adjusted life years for non-communicable European Union between 2000 and 2019. Methods Data were collected all 27 countries from Global Burden Disease 2019, Health Expenditure, EUROSTAT databases. Econometric panel data models used assess expenses years. Only with coefficient determination equal or higher than 10% analysed. Results There decrease highest years: cardiovascular ( <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M1"><mml:mo>−</mml:mo></mml:math> 2,952 years/10 5 inhabitants) neoplasms id="M3"><mml:mo>−</mml:mo></mml:math> 618 inhabitants). expenditure significantly decreased p &lt; 0.01) unless musculoskeletal disorders.
