ABSTRACT
This study was designed and carried out to ascertain the situation perceptions of end users cassava flash drying equipment in Nigeria with aim giving suggestions policies approaches for improved technology. Forty-one processing firms were selected interviewed. Descriptive analyses used a logistic regression model estimated. The results revealed that 49% stopped using their dryers due low demand high-quality flour (HQCF) resulting from high cost occasioned by an inefficient heat-generating component. estimated provides evidence effectiveness ( p < 0.05) energy 0.10) are two major determinants continuous usage area. percent indicated willingness pay any technical adjustment dryers, supposing such would improve on efficiency up 40%. recommends machine fabricators other African countries should be trained production energy- cost-efficient small-scale dryers. Again, design commercialization can mounted mobile trucks farm-gate encouraged facilitate processing, thereby reducing postharvest losses transporting perishable bulky roots over long distance.
