ABSTRACT
Introduction: Reconstruction surgeries of the inguinal area pose a challenge for oncological and orthopedic surgeons, especially after radical local resection (RLR), lymph node dissection (RILND), or both. Although numerous surgical procedures have been reported, there is no report about pedicle adductor longus flap method. The aim this work to show our experience reconstruction with pedicled associated outcomes. Patients Methods: A retrospective study 16 patients localized region interventions reconstructed by from March 2016 July 2020. Patients' average age was 60.0 years (range = 38-79 years) had postoperative follow-up 10 months (ranging 2-19 months). All unilateral involvement-seven cases on left nine right. patients' clinical course, operative data were evaluated. Results: recovered well post-operatively did not require any re-intervention. Four experienced negligible discomfort around groin area. Five minor strength deficit in thigh adduction compared that preoperative same contralateral leg. aforementioned complications resolved during course functional impact their activity daily living. flaps survived, completely filled dead space, wounds healed uneventfully within 3 weeks except three who suffered delayed wound healing more than 4 weeks. Other common such as infection, seroma, dehiscence encountered series. Conclusion: reliable alternative method following
