ABSTRACT
Background Diabetic foot disease is a serious complication of diabetes mellitus. Patients with mellitus have 25% lifetime risk for developing ulcer, and between 14% 24% patients require major or minor lower limb amputation due to severe gangrene. However, decisions concerning whether amputate perform amputation, how best determine the plane remain unclear. Methods To consolidate current literature expert opinion make recommendations that will guide surgical diabetic ulcers. A total 23 experts experienced in treatment ulcers formed an consensus panel, presented relevant evidence, discussed clinical experiences, derived statements on Each statement was revised until unanimous achieved. Results 16 were formulated. The believe determination should be comprehensively evaluated according patient's general health status, degree injury, severity vasculopathy.
