ABSTRACT
Understanding the clinical anatomy of head is essential for performing proper inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) block anesthesia to facilitate invasive dental procedures in camels. However, osteometric data related IAN camels are lacking. This study was carried out accurately locate mandibular foramen (MF) and course camel establish an approach its localization practice. To achieve these aims, eight measurements were used determine location MF relation surrounding structures six cadaveric skulls adult Four heads dissected, inside canal studied. In addition, four as a trial extraoral using contrast radiographs based on established metric indices. Dissection revealed that located near intersection two lines passing through occlusal surface cheek teeth at midpoint zygomatic process temporal bone. Significant differences not observed between right left mandibles. Successful deposition medium all examined specimens. reports new, simple reaching MF. further validation proposed technique required.
