ABSTRACT
This paper shows the relevance of problem fire hazard in forests Volga Federal District (VFD) European Russia. The Nesterov index and Selyaninov hydrothermal coefficient (HTC) are considered as indicators hazard. changes climatic conditions VFD during 1955–2018 shown; a trend towards warming an increase aridity study region were revealed. repeatability various classes from May to September was calculated using method. It is shown that July, most dangerous situation south VFD, where class IV reached 27%. Using HTC index, degree district summer period estimated. frequency arid (HTC < 0.5) increases north district, 6% (Kirov Region) 47% (Orenburg Region). TT potential thunderstorm danger assessed. With help constructed maps, hotspots probable occurrence thunderstorms detected. use Rosstat data on number forest fires 1992 2020 made it possible consider spatiotemporal distribution 14 administrative regions VFD. by depending their cover season. peak revealed 2010, when entire territory covered severe drought, result which area increased many times over. In recent years (since 2017), there has been burned due active phase climate warming.
