ABSTRACT
Comparing imaging examinations with those previously obtained is considered mandatory in guidelines. To our knowledge, no studies are available on neither the influence, nor sequence, of prior and reports diagnostic accuracy using biopsy as reference standard. Such data important to minimize errors improve preparation The aim study was provide such data.A retrospective cohort 216 consecutive skeletal biopsies from patients at least 2 different modalities (X-ray, CT MRI) performed within 6 months identified. individual modality assessed. Finally, possible influence sequence investigated. No significant difference shown, being preceded by another or not. However, analyses indicate sequential biases, particularly if MRI first modality. The seems against a pathology Further needed establish evidence-based guidelines for strategy previous accuracy.
