ABSTRACT
One of the most critical challenges in vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) visible light communications (VLCs) is access capability multi-users over same channel. VLC links are known to be line sight (LOS) and highly directional compared commonly used radio-frequency (RF) technologies, but multi-user interference can still problematic. Consequently, it necessary develop a medium control (MAC) protocol for VLC. In present work, we propose novel optical code division multiple (OCDMA) protocol. The fundamentals channel presented, problem discussed more detail. We also explain CDMA MAC its adaptation from fiber communications. simulations with our OCDMA based on pseudo-noise (PN) sequence codes results those obtained using solution orthogonal (OOCs) gold standard. Finally, show that PN provide sufficiently high performance particularly attractive because there no synchronization requirements between nodes real V2V scenarios.
