ABSTRACT
In this paper, battery electric vehicle (BEV) controllers are smartly tuned with particle swarm optimization (PSO) and genetic algorithm (GA) to ensure good speed regulation. Intelligent tuning is ensured a proposed well-defined cost function that aims satisfy the design requirements in terms of minimum overshoot, fast response, tolerable steady state input. Two functions formulated for both simple input driving cycles. The BEV controlled field oriented control technique (FOC), it driven by permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). An efficient scheme based on FOC built using simplified closed loop system including components such as regulators, inverter, traction machine, sensors. Simulation results show optimum controller gains obtained intelligent have resulted satisfactory performance sustains harsh environmental conditions. Robustness tests against parameter changes variations confirmed effectiveness methods.
