ABSTRACT
Since the inception of blockchain-based cryptocurrencies, researchers have been fascinated with idea integrating blockchain technology into other fields, such as health and manufacturing. Despite benefits blockchain, which include immutability, transparency, traceability, certain issues that limit its integration IIoT still linger. One these prominent problems is storage inefficiency blockchain. Due to append-only nature growth ledger inevitably leads high requirements for peers. This poses a challenge IIoT, where volumes data are generated at relatively faster rate than in applications financial systems. Therefore, there need architectures deal effectively rapid ledger. paper discusses problem existing systems, how this affects their scalability, challenges IIoT. explores solutions improving efficiency blockchain–IIoT classifying proposed according approaches providing insight effectiveness through detailed comparative analysis examination long-term sustainability. Potential directions future research on enhancement systems also discussed.
