ABSTRACT
User Equipment (UE) is equipped with limited cache resources that can be utilized to offload data traffic through device-to-device (D2D) communications. Data caching at a UE level has the potential significantly alleviate burden from backhaul link. Moreover, in wireless networks, users exhibit mobility poses serious challenges successful transmission via D2D communications due intermittent connectivity among users. Users’ exploited efficiently contents by observing patterns Therefore, it crucial develop an efficient mechanism for while taking into account users’ patterns. In this work, we propose mobility-aware approach enhance offloading communication. First, model Then, are cached UE’ based on preferences. addition, also take signal-to-interference and noise ratio (SINR) requirements of Hence, our proposed exploits perform placement own demands neighboring resources. We performed extensive simulations investigate performance mechanism. The compared most deployed mechanisms, dynamic nature channel interference experienced From obtained results, evident achieves 14%, 16%, 11% higher gain than least frequently used, Zipf-based probabilistic, random schemes case increasing number users, capacity, contents, respectively. analyzed hit rates, scheme 8% 5% rate brings significant improvement sharing
