ABSTRACT
Low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) is a non-invasive medical therapy that has attracted recent research interest due to its therapeutic effects. However, most LIPUS driver systems currently available are large and expensive. We have proposed interface application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) for use in wearable devices address some of the challenges related size cost current technologies. The ASIC highly system, incorporating DCDC module based on charge pump architecture, high voltage level shifter, half-bridge driver, voltage-controlled oscillator, corresponding digital module. Consequently, functional realization this as system requires only few passive components. Experimental tests indicated chip capable an output 184.2 mW or 107.2 with power supply 5 V 3.7 V, respectively, conversion efficiency approximately 30%. This capacity allows deliver spatial average temporal (SATA) 29.5 mW/cm2 51.6 respectively. total die area, including pads, 4 mm2. does not require inductors, improving magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) compatibility. In summary, presents promising solution development MRI-compatible cost-effective devices.
