ABSTRACT
AC heavy-haul trains produce a huge amount of regenerative braking energy when they run on long downhill sections. If this can be used by uphill in the same power supply section, reduction coal transportation cost and an improvement quality would result. To accurately predict consumption large slopes, single-particle model train dynamics was used. According to theory railway longitudinal section simplification, single based attributes, line conditions, running speed established. The applied verified Shenshuo Railway. results indicate that percentage error proposed is generally less than 10%. convenient simple research alternative, with strong engineering feasibility. Based foundation, established under different interval lengths considering situation multi-train operation mode. provides theoretical foundation for future diagram layout work goal reducing total consumption.
