ABSTRACT
Objectives: We investigate the differences in birthweight between first- and second-borns, evaluating impact of changes pregnancy (e.g., gestational age), demographic social education level, marital status) maternal characteristics. Data Methods: All analyses are performed on data collected Umbria (Italy) taking into account a set 792 women who delivered twice from 2005 to 2008. Firstly, we use univariate paired t-test for comparison weights second-borns; Secondly, linear nonlinear regression approaches order to: (i) evaluate effect characteristics (ii) predict odds-ratio low high infants, respectively. Results: find that second-borns is significantly higher than first-borns. Statistically significant effects related with longer age, an increased number visits during pregnancy, gender infants. On other hand, do not observe any mother’s age interest.
