This aim this study was to assess use T2DM an Asian cohort. A retrospective cohort conducted using National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) Taiwan from 2000 2013. The cohorts comprised 3841 patients (the exposed cohort) 7682 not unexposed -cohort). primary outcome incident DM. hazard ratios (HRs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) derived Cox proportional regression model were used diabetes. cumulative incidence significantly lower (18.8%) than (25.0%). users non-users (adjusted HR, 0.74; CI, 0.36-0.87). inverse relationship remained consistent across sex age groups. provides longitudinal evidence that associated with reduced conclusion, however, needs be interpreted cautiously given lack body mass index data NHIRD. Further studies are needed determine clinical implications study.
