ABSTRACT
During the investigation of endophytic fungi diversity in aquatic plants and fungal soil southwest China, we obtained 208 isolates belonging to Trichoderma, including 28 as endophytes from 180 saprobes soil, respectively. Finally, 23 new species Trichoderma are recognized by further studies. Their phylogenetic positions determined sequence analyses combined partial sequences translation elongation factor 1-alpha (tef1) gene encoding second largest nuclear RNA polymerase subunit (rpb2). The results revealed that distributed nine known clades. morphology culture characteristics observed, described illustrated detail. Distinctions between their close relatives were compared discussed. These include: achlamydosporum, T. amoenum, anaharzianum, anisohamatum, aquatica, asiaticum, asymmetricum, inaequilaterale, inconspicuum, insigne, obovatum, paraviride, pluripenicillatum, propepolypori, pseudoasiaticum, pseudoasperelloides, scorpioideum, simile, subazureum, subuliforme, supraverticillatum, tibetica, uncinatum.
