ABSTRACT
This paper investigates the friction process between an Fe-based coating and C45 steel with surface-active lubrication, as well examines surface before after tribological testing. As a result, it is possible to determine whether undergoes self-organization during friction. Coatings were produced by hardfacing subeutectic alloy Fe-Mn-C-B modified silicon, nickel, chromium copper. Tribological tests performed using pin-on-disc tribometer. The pin (coating) disc made of subjected heat treatment (hardening tempering). carried out under loads 3 MPa, 7 MPa 10 at constant sliding velocity 0.4 m/s distance 5700 m lubricant (glycerine oil). Obtained results compared published previous same conditions but load 20 MPa. microscopic spectroscopic demonstrate that pair materials (the Si, Ni, Cr, Cu steel) cause coatings has flay-laminar structure covered triboreaction products. shows presence wear-resistant compounds such oxides, carbides, borides nitrides.
