ABSTRACT
In order to study the effect of crushing process on fine separation reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and mechanical properties cement-stabilised aggregate mixed with RAP, four processes, namely small mesh hammer crushing, jaw double roller were used separate from in RAP materials. The grading characteristics agglomeration condition material was investigated. aggregates prepared analysed for their micro-morphology using materials obtained separation. relationship between RAP-added basis tests. results showed that breaks down large-size materials, leading grade refinement, most effective reducing variability. highest agglomerate dissociation rate above 4.75 mm after treatment 96.9%, residual mass ratios two grades 0~3 3~5 lower than 90%. unconfined compressive strength, splitting resilience modulus greater those uncrushed aggregate, increased amount mix 60%. Compared unadulterated hydration products reduced there obvious gaps discontinuities cement paste. gradation correlated strongly mixes, coarse agglomerates being main cause This paper provides theoretical support proposal a pretreatment reduce variability RAP-doped improve properties, research are conducive recycling high-volume base.
