ABSTRACT
Thin-coal-seam shearer mining efficiency is seriously restricted by the poor loading performance of drum. The drum to cracked coal lumps based on a screw-conveying mechanism, and its influenced many structural parameters, including width, helical angle, axial tilt number blades form diameter barrel. barrel directly influences envelope zone’s capacity, influence not yet clear. Therefore, this work first compared drum-loading results between experiments numerical modeling, proved that application discrete element method (DEM) modeling process feasible are reliable. Secondly, particles’ velocity, rate web depth was studied using ejection pushing modes. showed velocity has noticeable impact under conditions, increases then decreases with increase in diameter. When less than 700 mm drum-pushing modes, plays an important role loading; filling level obvious when larger mm. 25% higher mode, which due particles located from 300 600 more mode. provide reference for design some extent.
