ABSTRACT
The current loaded tooth contact analysis of cycloid drives based on the assumption theoretical positions ring pins ignores deviations caused by manufacturing errors and elastic deformations, which are not in agreement with reality. To fill this gap, an improved load distribution model mismatched cycloid-pin gear pair pin position is presented for a component-level analysis. Firstly, profile geometry defined, unloaded applied as pre-processor to determine potential points, backlash, rotation angle gear. Secondly, due statically indeterminate structure multi-tooth contact, varying nonlinear stiffness introduced establish relation between force deformation. Then, moment equilibrium equations compatibility conditions solved using iterative approach. With this, detailed parametric case studies verify correctness proposed comparing it those predicted demonstrate influences distributed load, stress, transmission error, instantaneous ratio pair. This study provides deeper investigation into characteristics drive therefore can be employed assist design.
