ABSTRACT
Background: The control of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) encompasses multiple stages. objective was to calculate the losses in LTBI care cascade for pulmonary TB contacts Catalonia (Spain). Methods: studied reported from 1 January 2019 30 June 2021, considering three dependent variables: non-performance testing; non-receipt a treatment prescription; and non-adherence treatment. Variables associated with were analysed using adjusted OR (aOR) 95% confidence intervals (CI). Results: Identified 847 cases 7087 contacts, whom 6537 (92.2%) could be screened LTBI. prevalence 25.5% (1670/6537); 69.4% persons (1159/1670) received prescription 71.3% (827/1159) completed it. Treatment age ≥65 years (aOR = 0.3; 95%CI: 0.2–0.6) daily exposure ≥6 h index case 3.6; 2.6–5.0). adherence lower men 0.7; 0.5–1.0) immigrants 0.5–0.9). Conclusions: Under 50% make it end cascade. Losses need reduced through education both healthcare providers patients monitoring. greater involvement primary physicians help monitoring controling
