Toward Practical Optical Phased Arrays through Grating Antenna Engineering

ABSTRACT
In recent years, using silicon-based waveguide grating antennas in optical phased array has become a research focus. To date, this technique not been widely implemented practical applications. paper, the basic principle of antenna is described, and researches on effective length, uniform emission directionality diffraction are summarized. Through analysis, it found that there trend to prepare by SiN/Si hybrid integrated platform. A novel design integration proposed. It convenient match with front-end components structural level more practical.
