ABSTRACT
We present the status of art Archimedes experiment, devoted to measuring debated interaction quantum vacuum fluctuations and gravity. The method is essentially weighing transition energy a layered superconductor where contribution expected be relevant. obtained by modulating temperature superconducting sample at frequency about 10 mHz change weight measured with suitably designed high sensitivity cryogenic beam balance. In this paper, we an overview discussing signal measured, presenting in particular result prototype balance operated our laboratory. range measurement, affected mainly seismic, thermal, sensor, control noise. discuss these points showing design apparatus, final balance, quiet seismic site that will host measurement.
