Advances in Cork Use in Adsorption Applications: An Overview of the Last Decade of Research

Cork-based adsorbents have been gathering interest from the research community since 1990s. A first review was published on this topic in 2012. Still, last decade, novel activated carbons and biochars, multiple applications, produced using cork as a raw material. This presents these insights into properties of cork, its various forms, how they relate to adsorption capacity. Details new preparation methodologies respective characteristics cork-based biochars are thoroughly compared, patterns identified.
