ABSTRACT
This research deals with the evaluation of tourist attractions in selected protected areas (PAs) Serbia for purpose developing ecotourism. Using integral AHP-SWOT method, two authentic mountain were analyzed—Stara Planina Nature Park and Suva Special Reserve. The results confirmed presence numerous natural and, to a lesser extent, anthropogenic resources that represent basis future ecotourism activities. However, significant weaknesses also registered, which are reflected overall poverty, underdeveloped infrastructure depopulation. analysis showed highest rated factors development local products should be offered on regional market, as well use geographical position both (near state border) through donor funds (IPA funds). application method enabled definition prioritization several strategies, ones greatest weight based variegated biodiversity PAs. advances knowledge about strategic decision-making PAs could beneficial destination managers creation successful plans.
