ABSTRACT
Obesity as a multifactorial disease is associated with hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance, which lead to the development of atherogenic dyslipidemia. The increasing importance in understanding the mechanisms of obesity development is associated with an in-depth study of the functions of leptin produced by adipocytes.
