In the paper essential assumptions regarding a research project implemented by consortium of Gdansk University Technology and Gdynia Maritime are presented. The has been commissioned National Center Research Development with cooperation Polish Railways (PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A.). is focused in implementation modern measurement techniques using Global Navigation Positioning System GNSS, Inertial INS Mobile Laser Scanning MLS railway network management process. precise aim both determine geometric parameters layout as well vehicle movement trajectory.
