ABSTRACT
Asthma is a heterogenic chronic inflammation of the lower respiratory tract. highly prevalent in Basrah city. This study aimed to investigate effect SOCS (SOCS1 & SOCS3) at molecular level on production several cytokines (IL-6, IL-17 and IL-31) asthma. The current included total 80 participants, 54 asthmatic patients 26 heathy controls. levels IL-6, IL-31 were estimated by ELISA while SOCS1 gene polymorphism -1478 CA>del (rs33989964) was detected RFLP-PCR. In addition, SOCS3 expression qRT-PCR. findings shown that genotype del/del significantly associated with asthma codominant model CA/CA CA/del recessive model. over dominant elevated non-significantly (4.28±1.41) healthy control groups 1. highest found association genotype. did not have any IL-6 level, it had slight has clear all genotypes. conclusion, heterotypic plays important role both during
