ABSTRACT
Introduction: Hypertension is a systemic disease characterized by high blood pressure and an important threat for the population, as it common can cause serious complications. Genetic environmental factors are involved in its development like recently defined genetic risk factor ARHGAP42 that encodes Rho GTPase activating protein 42. In study, intronic rs604723 (C/T) gene polymorphism of was investigated relation to arterial stiffness. Methods: Peripheral samples, taken from 63 study group subjects with hypertension 100 healthy subject control, were analyzed presence real-time PCR method following DNA isolation. Demographic data recorded pressure, ambulatory stiffness values measured. Results: The heterozygous polymorphic CT (~2-fold) homozygous TT (~1.6-fold) genotypes found be higher when compared control subjects, whereby increase genotype statistically significant (p = 0.006). Similarly, frequency T allele (~1.9-fold) 0.003) subjects. addition, associated carotid-femoral pulse velocity, which measure 0.025). Conclusion: this wave speed hypertension. It will interest, investigate association any specific drug or drugs commonly used anti-hypertensive therapy. Thus, would possible select appropriate according hypertensive subjects’ carry out personalized medicine future.
