ABSTRACT
Poisoning due to hair dye consumption is relatively rare in India. Compound responsible for toxicity paraphenylenediamine (PPD). Hair (PPD) poisoning has high morbidity and mortality its incidence increased dramatically the past 4 years. Prompt recognition effective management lead complete recovery. Diagnosis made solely on basis of history given by attendants symptoms cervicofacial edema, black colored urine muscular pain. The key successful detection avoidance triggers, early attacks, aggressive airway when warranted. Initial treatment a patient presenting with most forms angioedema includes antihistamines glucocorticoids if required. Epinephrine should be administered there concern laryngeal edema.
We present here case report where presented as edema not responding conventional treatment, but responded metyhlprednisolone intravenously.
