ABSTRACT
This study investigated the effects of different dietary inclusion levels Lavender essential oil (LEO) in free and nanoencapsulated form on intestinal gross microstructure changes subsequent nutrient digestibility broiler chicken. At 1 week age, 420 chicks were randomly allocated into 7 treatment groups with 4 replicate pens, each containing 15 birds. The experiment lasted till birds 42 days age.Dietary treatments included a corn-soybean based diet supplemented 0 (T1), 20 mg/kg Enramycin as antibiotic growth promoter (T2), 300 mg/k g (nanoencapsulating material) chitosan (T3), 200 400 LEO (T4 T5, respectively), (T6 T7, respectively). The results revealed that dry matter metabolizability (DMM), digestible crude protein (DCP), ether extract (EE), fibre (CF), calcium (Ca), phosphorous (P) improved fed more significance (p<0.05) wherein was used.Similarly, length weight, ileal villus height (VH), to crypt depth (VH:CD) significantly all groups, particularly T7) compared control. In conclusion, nanoencapsulation is viable strategy for improving microstructure, chicken.
