ABSTRACT

Along with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standardization process, lightweight PQC-related research development have also gained substantial attention from community recently. Ring-Binary-Learning-with-Errors (RBLWE), a variant Ring-LWE, which uses binary errors to replace regular Gaussian distributed achieve smaller complexity, has great potential built such PQC scheme for emerging Internet-of-Things (IoT) edge computing applications. The parameter settings RBLWE-based encryption scheme, however, are much than typical Ring-LWE one then how reduce its computational complexity becomes an interesting topic.Following this direction, in paper, we propose Karatsuba Initiated Novel Accelerator (KINA) efficient implementation PQC. Overall, made several coherent interdependent stages efforts carry out proposed work: (i) presented mathematical derivation process new Algorithm (KA)-based polynomial multiplication, main algorithmic operation scheme; (ii) effectively mapped algorithm into desired hardware accelerator help number optimization techniques; (iv) provided detailed analysis comparison demonstrate superior performance accelerator. involves two unique features: is first report about initiated accelerator; offers flexible processing speed can be fit various high-performance applications. The KINA highly included recommendation choices deploying applications.
