Optimal UAV Placement in 3D Space for Enhanced Communication Performance: A Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization Approach

ABSTRACT
<p>This paper presents an optimization framework for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) assisted communication system. The goal is to determine the optimal placement of UAV in three-dimensional space (xu, yu, zu) minimize power consumption and maximize data rate while maintaining a desired bit error (BER). We first establish mathematical model that captures relationship between UAV’s position, consumption, rate, BER, considering free path loss. Such achieved static network environment by employing Multi-objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) algorithm, which concurrently explores solution space, seeking ideal position balances rate.We then extend proposed adapt dynamic environments satisfying user demands. By adjusting system conditions, our enhanced ensures UAV-assisted remains efficient effective. Theoretical analysis results, demonstrated through various examples, show effectively delay BER networks.</p>
