ABSTRACT
<p>Poor social skills in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are associated with reduced independence daily life. Current interventions for improving the of individuals ASD fail to represent complexity real-life settings and situations. Virtual reality (VR) may facilitate training environments situations proximal real life, however, more research is needed elucidating aspects such as acceptability, usability, user experience VR systems ASD. Twenty-five participants attended a neuropsychological evaluation three sessions training, incorporating 5 scenarios difficulty levels each. Participants reported high system experience. Significant correlations were observed between performance scenarios, self-reports, executive functions. Working memory planning ability significant predictors functionality level system’s perceived usability respectively. Yet, was best predictor Planning substantially predicted postulating an implication skills. Immersive appears effective ASD, yet error-less approach, which adaptive individual’s needs, should be preferred. </p>
