ABSTRACT
The 5G network requires higher frequency bands as the Sub-6 GHz to handle vast amounts of data and provide larger bandwidth. This study proposes a novel open-ended wrench-shaped patch antenna with small dimensions 24 × 32 1.6 mm3 achieve wideband operation in range. is etched onto an FR-4 substrate has mm height, loss tangent 0.025, relative permittivity 4.3. intended excited by 50 Ω microstrip line, simulation performed using CST software. impedance matching bandwidth are improved introducing slotted plane defective ground structure. With two resonance frequencies 3 4.55 GHz, suggested gain 1.91 dB 2.90 dB, directivity 2.62 4.13 return −58.5 −28.4 VSWR 1.002 1.08. wrench's design provides broad 3.2 maximum radiation efficiency 85.7% range 2.6 5.8 encompassing multiple crucial utilized for various applications, including 5G. offers significant size reduction while maintaining excellent performance characteristics suitable wireless devices operating GHz. been built experimental prototype, results measurement modeling parameter coincide quite well.
