ABSTRACT
Turbulent flows play a crucial role in various engineering and scientific applications, the accurate prediction of these remains challenging task. This review explores application Shear Stress Transport Scale-Adaptive Simulation (SST-SAS) turbulence model for solving incompressible turbulent flows, with specific focus on unsteady wakes behind bluff bodies. Providing concise overview model’s formulation its advantages, this article highlights efficacy SST-SAS simulating intricate dynamics different configurations circular cylinders. The present study affirms that can be considered highly viable alternative around bodies due to good predictive quality resulting simulations.
