ABSTRACT
Background: Children under five years of age suffer from anemia is a common medical problem worldwide.Iron deficiency the most prevalent in infants and has proven to be public health issue. Manystudies have been conducted on among but scope studies focused anemiaprevalence with less emphasis knowledge parental practice.Objective: To explore level knowledge, attitude, practice towards iron anemia.Method: A cross-sectional study first taken 150 children that attended Children’s Counseling atMadinah General Hospital these second case control show only 30 effect withIDA without IDA.Results: In this study, prevalence than two 46.7%. answers nearhalf sample their previously diagnosed IDA was 16 (53 %), attitude parentsabout between groups not there significant relationship parents theirchildren Fair 17 (57%) Poor 11(36%), smallerstudy article refuse or accepted. Practices association (case IDA)and (control IDA) because (65% poor) About other side was(26%) poor differential refer more vulnerable toIDA.Conclusion: Anemia 24 months old substantial differences parents’ knowledgeand practices.
