ABSTRACT
To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of palonosetron for prevention vomiting induced by high dose cisplatin-based chemotherapy.One-hundred twenty-eight patients received tropisetron 5 mg plus dexamethasone 10 at first cycle or 0.25 mg, respectively, each administered 30 min before initiation chemotherapy. observe remission rate acute emetic episodes delayed episodes, adverse effects daily food-intake in after chemotherapy. The complete response (CR) rates were not significantly different between cycles (75.8% vs. 79.7%, P>0.05). The control was higher than that (70.3% 50.8%, P<0.01). decrease 18.8%, lower 53.1% (P<0.05). two similar no grade 3-4 observed.Palonosetron is superior to with a emesis chemotherapy tolerable toxicity. Moreover, apparent treatment seems provide an adequate these patients.
