ABSTRACT
Objective
To explore the effect of right median nerve stimulation (RMNS) on brain function in healthy subjects .
Methods
Twenty-eight volunteers were selected as study′s subjects. RMNS was administered a task wake-up therapy mode. The given 30 seconds followed by rest, repeated for 6 times block experiment designed, and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) performed simultaneously with . activation analyzed using SPM 12 software.
Results
The fMRI showed that activated primarily left M1, premotor cortex (PMC), bilateral primary secondary somatosensory cortexes (S1 S2), insular lobe. Compared resting state, intensity BOLD signal above areas changed significantly mode.
Conclusion
Stimulation can stimulate local cerebral produce certain activating related to motor sensory functioning hand.
