Progress of nonpharmacological interventions in the treatment of apathy in Alzheimer′s disease

Apathy is one of the most common neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients with Alzheimer′s disease. has a serious negative impact on patients. There have been no specific medicines for treatment apathy. Accordingly, people become increasingly concerned about study nonpharmacological interventions. Multiple non-pharmacological therapies such as music therapy, reminiscence multi-sensory stimulation, exercise occupational therapy and physiotherapy played role improving However, intervention aiming at apathy rarely reported home abroad. The method interventions should be further standardized, it worthy clinical application.
