ABSTRACT
Objective To evaluate the incidence of dry eye in rheumatoid arthritis(RA)patients with or without Sjogren syndrome(SS),and to investigate correlation between and RA activity.Methods The records 158 patients department rheumatology Jan 1st.2003 Dec 30 th, 2006 were reviewed.The severity was assessed by Schirmer test (SCH), tear film break up time (BUT), filuorescein staining (FL).The activity evaluated erythroeyte sedimentation rate (ESR), c-reactive protein(CRP), factor(RF).The relationship all indexes analyzed.Results About eleven percent met criteria for SS.In SS positive correlations observed SCH,FL,and RF,CRP,ESRuNo such non-SS patients.Conclusion pathogenesis may be different patients.There some be-tween arthritis patients.
