ABSTRACT
Objective To analyze the distribution and location of breaks in patients with peripheral rhegmatogenous retinal detachment.Methods Seventy-eight cases (78 eyes) detachment underwent scleral buckling.The location,shape size breaks,distance to limbus,relationship degeneration oblique muscles were measured recorded.Results A total 113 holes found 78 eyes most them (63.72%) located superiotemporal area.They comprised 64 tears 49 holes.There 34.62% having more than 1 hole.The distances limbus ranged from 7.5 mm 17 (average at 12.60 mm),which had significant relationship ocular axis (F =4.035,P =0.047).The two ends area 32 (41.02%) 49.56% near muscles.Conclusions The distance is longer axis.Most frequent locations are superiortemporal inferiortemporal.The frequently area.The results helpful patients' examination breaks' finding locating.
