Gastritis cystica profunda in 15 cases

ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and summarize experiences on diagnosis treatment of gastritis cystica profunda (GCP).Methods Clinical data 15 GCP patients,who were treated in First Second Affiliated Hospital Zhengzhou University from January 2006 to 2013,were retrospectively analyzed.Results may present clinically as abdominal pain,bloating,emaciation,and GI bleeding.CT,electronic gastroscope,or ultrasonic endoscope shows that consists multiple cysts within a thickened submucosal layer.The pathological features can not be obtained by ordinary biopsy snares.Of cases,proximal gastrectomy was performed 4 cases,distal subtotal 3 cases,1 case with gastric wedge resection,and total 7 cases.Postoperative recovery uneventful.13 cases followed up for 2 years,and there no evidence recurrence.Conclusions is an uncommon disease unknown origin,and has characteristics,and malignant potential.Postoperative prognosis satisfactory.
