ABSTRACT
Objective
To investigate carotid intima-media thickness and arterioles atherosclerosis in patients with prehypertension by using high- frequency ultrasound.
Methods
A total of 1162 healthy controls 590 prehypertensive were enrolled this investigation. High-frequency ultrasound was used to measure intima- media evaluate plaque score the artery.
Results
In comparison controls, incidence atherosclerotic significantly increased. The detection rate 45.3% subjects. In addition, mild, moderate or calcified found 68.9% , 24.6% 6.5% patients, respectively.
Conclusion
High could accurately artery, which may be conductive identify high-risk populations.
