Influences of transitional care on early quality of life in esophageal cancer patients after surgery

ABSTRACT
Objective
To investigate the influences of transitional care on early quality life in esophageal cancer patients after surgery.
Methods
A total 195 with were randomly divided into control group (98 cases, regular follow-up) and observation (97 care) according to random number table. And then, readmission rate 2 months post discharge was compared between two groups. Besides, evaluated questionnaire core 30 (QLQ-C30) at intervention.
Results
The post-discharge 5.2%, 16.3% a significant difference (χ2=6.332, P=0.012). There no statistically differences scores functional items symptom QLQ-C30 (P>0.05). After interventions, general health, emotional function social higher than those group; fatigue, pain, insomnia, difficult breathing, loss appetite lower there groups (P<0.05).
Conclusions
Transitional can provide positive guidance for living condition cancer, improve patients′ so as life.
